Sidekick
A good sidekick, hangs out with the hero. Goofy and smaller than the hero. Tags along and is clumsy, not too bright either. Irritating to the bad guys and gets in trouble a lot. His dress sense isn't as punk like when compared to the hero. Has no vehicle so he must ride along with the hero at the back.
So now you have established your hero as being an avian humanoid, will all your bikers be of the same race? Birds can also make great sidekick characters, particularly smaller, non-predatory ones, so it may be fun for the sidekicks appearance. You may want to give him another role as well, as a reason why he is tagging along. Perhaps he is the bikers hapless mechanic?
